A personal note to you on this special day

I totally wasn’t planning to write this personal note to you today but I just couldn’t resist.

Just over four years ago I made the decision to invest in myself and hire my first coach.

Over the course of several months I had registered for dozens of free teleseminars and webinars about online marketing and listened to them on my lunch hour while at work.

I was obsessed with the fact that all these marketers could grow a business, work from home and make really amazing money while doing it.

Instinctively I knew that the path to the life and business I wanted was behind finding someone who could show me how to do it.

So one day after dropping $147 on a Facebook and Twitter Marketing Course (which by the way I thought was a lot at the time) I decided that if I really wanted to make a name for myself and grow my business online then it was time to stop to make an investment in myself.

After the course ended I emailed the coach and said, “I need someone to show me how to use the internet to get clients and grow my business”. Moments later I hired her.

After three months I rehired her and then continued to work with her for over a year.

Investing in myself wasn’t cheap and it was quite scary because it meant I might not make the investment back or worse still my life as I knew it might completely change..(which is exactly what happened).

Hiring my first coach allowed me to take a chance on myself and it really paid off –

I’m no longer listening to free trainings on my lunch hour at my old job, I’m no longer charging $75 a month for my coaching, I’m no longer working in corporate and I’m no longer working the last quarter of the year totally stressed out from my job, barely seeing my family and working 80 hour work weeks – because I’m working from home, making great money and easing into the holiday season feeling really good about where I am in my business and where it’s going for 2015.

On top of it, today I’m reunited with my first coach for the first time in quite a few years and get to once again thank her in person for helping to shape my business and life. For believing in me and supporting me when almost no one did and practically everyone thought I was nuts to give up a high-paying, high-powered secure corporate job.

Today, I get to thank her in person at her 3-day workshop in New Jersey where I can sit with amazing other women entrepreneurs and proudly share about my business success.

Today, I get to thank Christine Gallagher again for being my first investment in myself.

So if there’s one thing I’d like to share it’s that you must take chances on yourself. You must believe in your future, your vision and your dream…because life can be pretty amazing when you give it all you’ve got, and a life filled with regrets is just that.
