Money Loves a Plan

I have a confession to make – my first year in business I didn’t have a business or marketing plan!

Every day I was running on a hamster wheel trying to figure out how to stop it and find my way down the right path.

The longer I stayed on the wheel the more exhausted and frustrated I got.

On top of that I kept spending money foolishly because I didn’t have a plan how to spend it appropriately.

Maybe you’ve been there too. Maybe you’re there right now. How about making today the day you buckle down and start trusting a plan?

There are several plans your online business must have: a business plan, a marketing plan and a launch plan and here’s how they should look.

Your Business Plan– it should be the overarching plan for your business to create the revenue and growth you’re looking for. It should breakdown your goals and expectations as to how you’ll generate revenue and what your expenses need to be in order to achieve those goals. You should have at least a 12 month plan but it’s recommended to plan at least three years in advance.

Marketing Plan – this is your plan for attracting clients. Without clients there is no business. You will need to determine your online plan which includes content creation, blogging, social media, speaking and networking. As well as your offline plan which includes referrals, speaking, networking and more.  This is going to be the lifeline to your freedom based business.

Launch Plan – it won’t do your business any good if you never sell anything. This is the area that I see most entrepreneurs struggle with and fail at. You must have a launch plan of what you will offer to your ideal clients and when you will offer it. Launches need a plan. You cannot simply decide you’ll offer a new product or product without planning the proper promotion and delivery. When you follow your business plan your launch plan will be easy to execute.

There’s quite a bit of strategic thinking that goes into creating a business, marketing and launch plan but when you do each of them and do them properly, you’ll achieve your desired results faster and income goals faster.
