How to Set Boundaries When You Work From Home

The laundry is stacking up.

Your spouse comes home unexpectedly for lunch.

You get sidetracked when your house phone rings…

Any number of things can interrupt your work-flow when you work from home.

Sure you’re the envy of all of your office-working friends who assume you’re living the good life because you work from home. What they don’t know is that it’s not as easy as they think.

We live in a world of constant distractions (so most of what’s happening to you isn’t your fault) but it’s up to you to come up with a routine, a plan and set boundaries around working from home so you can get more done to grow your business.

In this week’s video I share how to set more boundaries in your home-based business.

  1. Jeannie, this is such an important topic! I’ve worked from home for 10 years. Your recommendations are so spot on and I’ve found that it’s also really important for me to have a separate, dedicated work space. A space in my home where I can “go to work” and then “close” at the end of my work day.

    1. Jennifer,
I love that you brought up the separate work space. That makes a huge difference doesn’t it?
Thanks so much for chiming in and hope you (and your business) are both well!
