How to Create Your Own 6 Figure Business Plan for 2018

All week long I’ve been talking to my clients about how they’re going to reach their revenue goals for 2018.

While some came to their coaching calls with a plan, a list and specific tasks, others needed me to help them figure out what their top priorities needed to be.

What became apparent as I was having their calls is that many of them were prioritizing the wrong things.

Take for example a client who said she wanted to make her first multiple 6 figures from these streams of income:

• a course
• a group program
• ​​​​​​​private client work

I said “Great, so now that we’re clear about how you want to serve your clients, what are the ways you’re going to attract them, what’s your plan?”

She thought for a moment and said, “Well, I’m going to ramp up my Facebook page and start posting daily. Then I’m going to post on Instagram at least three times a week. Then I’m going to send a monthly newsletter…”

She kept going, but I had to stop her.

I said, “That’s all well and good, but none of that is going to get you to multiple 6 figures easily.”

She was silent for a moment and then replied, “So what should I be focusing on?”

And this is where the problem lies for most of us. 

How do you go from where you are to where you want to be?

For some of us we stay stuck in the vision or dream. For others of us we get lost in the details (the how). And for others of us we simply prioritize the wrong things.

I’ve done it to myself and I’ve seen it happen to others time and time again.

If you want to reach multiple 6 figures in your business, you must approach your business and marketing plan differently.

Let me tell you how I helped my client create her multiple 6 figure plan for 2018:

1. We got clear about her vision for her business
2. We got clear about the money she wants to make
3. We got clear about who she’s attracting and how she’ll serve them
4. We started her plan by identifying the fastest path to cash
5. We created the marketing plan that would create the fastest path to cash
6. We broke down the specific plan and tasks for the next 90 days
7. We then did a high level plan for the additional streams of income and agreed to work on those once we stabilized the first stream

This is the exact process I’ve used for myself and for my clients time and time again.

Please don’t overthink how to get to multiple six figures in your business. It’s much easier than you think.
